Jennifer Hudson Thanks Fans, Moves Forward

November 14, 2008

Nearly three weeks after her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were murdered, Jennifer Hudson is speaking out and moving forward.

"I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," the Oscar winner wrote to her fans on her MySpace page. "My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern."

Tragedy struck for the Hudson sisters on Oct. 24, when their mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were murdered in the family's home in Chicago. Julia's son, Julian King, was kidnapped and his body was found three days later in an abandoned car. Authorities named Julia's estranged husband, William Balfour, a "person of interest" and he's being held in jail on a parole violation.

Trying to move on from the tragedy, Julia gave her blessing to a previously scheduled appearance in Gap's holiday ad campaign. The photo, taken in July, features Jennifer smiling brightly and wearing a bright red sweater. A rep for the company told E! that they gave the actress an option to back out, but she declined.

"She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward," a rep for the company said.

No matter what anyone thinks, it"s up to you and your sister how to proceed with your life. Don"t let any negative words or thoughts get to you. Give it over to God.
God have mercy on their souls.

I can't believe the GARBAGE I just read below! I can't believe people these days have NO compassion on what happened. 3 less!!!!! If this was a WHITE family you would have probably been acting with a lot more compassion and integrity. You need to get educated!
