90210 Update: Who's In and Who's Out?
The CW's remake of Beverly Hills, 90210 is quickly becoming one of the most talked about shows of the upcoming TV season. But it isn't the hot new cast that's holding America's attention — it's the roster of original cast members... and it seems to be changing daily.
According to reports, Shannen Doherty is now in talks to reprise the iconic role of Brenda Walsh, that she played from 1990 until she abruptly quit in 1994. And seeing as Jennie Garth already signed on to reprise the role of Kelly Taylor — and there's no love lost between the actresses — it should make for some juicy happenings onscreen... and off.
"It is happening with Shannen," a source told E! online. "It's just a question of how long she'll shoot, whether it will be one day or ten, and what the storyline will be, but we are working on it and it is a very real thing."
As for Tori Spelling, who was scheduled to appear in several episodes, including the series premiere — she's out for now. According to reports, the new mom who gave birth to Stella Doreen McDermott on June 9 — is instead focusing her attention on her new baby. However, insiders say Donna Martin will still appear — just later in the season.
Amidst all the casting drama, the show was shooting earlier this week in Los Angeles. Jennie — who's making guest appearances on the show — was on the set Tuesday dressed in a casual blue suit. As reported, her character is now a guidance counselor at West Beverly Hills High.

I was a die hard fan for years. This new show seems great. The first show seemed a bit slow, but I've loved every one since. I love seeing Jennie on it and Shannen is great too. I really hope that they bring back Luke Perry more so than anyone else with Kelly and their son. There's also Tori with Brian, and how about Jason? The new storylines are great, but please don't forget the show's roots.

Definately the guys, such as Jason Priesstly and LUKE PERRY, and of course Brian Austin Green. Throw in there Ian Zier-ing to boot. But I am more a Dawson's Creek fan as I figured would happen since I live in N. Myrtle Beach, SC.
That is only 1 hour from Wilmington, where Dawson's Creek was shot. -- Erin Goebel

Definately 50 year-old Luke Perry will take down the house. Possibly Brian Austin Green, and definately Ian Ziering. Possibly Jason Pristly because it did not seem like the same show w/o him or the3 others by far. Same name; different show.
Just please keep the regulars. But diffinately even if I doubt it Vanessa Marcell. -- Erin R. Goebel

If Tori Spelling isn't coming back, at least let's get Brian Austin Green. But I don't think they should be divorced, they should leave it with them as the perfect couple. Ditto Steve and Janet, no need to break them up. But Dylan has gotta come back at least sometimes to keep the sparks flying. I wouldn't mind seeing Gina too. -- Evelyn

I am so glad that Jennie will be back on the show, and REALLY glad that Shannen is back since "Brenda" hasnt been back to BHs in so long. I am excited to see what they have in store for her character. I really hope Tori does come back on the show, since she is such an important character - but who i would really really like to see is Luke come back!!!! Kelly and Dylan need to be together since that is how the series finale ended!!
