"Waterworld" meets "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in this slow-moving action-adventure starring James Brolin and Ian Somerhalder ("Lost"). In the post-global-warming world, there's not much actual land left - but an undersea salvage master (Brolin) and his two sons (Somerhalder and Jamie Thomas King) may have found the solution: The New Vatican sends them to recover the scepter that Moses used to part the Red Sea, in the hope that it can help make the rising waters go away. They're up against a power-crazed businessman (Ben Cross), who wants to use the scepter for - what else? - evil. There's nothing special about the special effects - so what you're left with is a lot of weak jokes, some unremarkable scuba footage and action scenes that seem to have been filmed while the actors' feet were stuck in glue. It's a patchwork of old ideas, barely stitched together to seem credible.
