Jason O'Mara (who was a creepy/sexy arsonist on "The Closer") plays a New York police detective on the trail of a serial killer. But when he's hit by a car, he wakes up to discover he's trapped in 1973. Is it a dream? Is he dead? Is he in a coma? Whatever - he's got to deal with life in a world with no cell phones or personal computers, where disco lives and the cops still smack suspects around and bust down doors without warrants. Based on a British series of the same name, this one cleverly pits the past against the present, making O'Mara part of a macho squad that includes Harvey Keitel ("Pulp Fiction") as his boss and Michael Imperioli ("The Sopranos") as one of his colleagues. The retro look is amusing and they don't hammer the "Twilight Zone" factor. So it's mysterious but not annoyingly so. It could hook you early.
