What's it about: In this Swedish coming-of-age tale, an outcast boy makes friends with a young female vampire.
Fangs a lot: Oskar (Hedebrant) is picked on at middle school by a group of bullies - until he makes friends with a new girl in his apartment building: Eli (Leandersson). Eli doesn't go to school - but she does hang out at night and doesn't seem to notice the bitter winter weather. She gives Oskar the courage to stand up to the bullies. So he can overlook her bad habit of killing adults by sucking their blood. This bloody Swedish comedy-drama offers a sharp-toothed take on how to handle an awkward age: Just find a best friend who is a member of the undead. The mix of screams and giggles is just about right.
Long story short: Bite into this bloody good story.
