What's it about: In this animated comedy, the canine star of a TV show about a dog with super-powers gets lost in the real world - where he discovers that he's really just a normal dog.
Delusional: Bolt (Travolta) spends his life fighting evil and protecting his human, Penny (Cyrus) - on a TV show. But he's unaware that he's an actor and that his super-powers are only special effects. So when he escapes from his trailer and is shipped accidentally to New York, he must make his way back to Hollywood to find Penny. He teams up with a reluctant alleycat (Essman of "Curb Your Enthusiasm") and a hamster in a Plexiglas ball, getting into trouble during his cross-country trip - and discovering that there's more to being a dog than just being a pampered movie star. The computer animation is delicious and the writing is consistently funny - hey, how can you not love a movie where the hamster gets all the best lines? Here's a comedy for kids that will have parents laughing from beginning to end.
Long story short: You'll wag your tail with delight at this imaginative comedy.
